NEWARK, N.J., June 27, 2025 – Advanta Health Solutions, Inc. (www.advantahealth.com), a leading wellness technology company, today announced it has achieved a second certification from Validation Institute, validating not only its continued industry-leading member engagement but also confirming that its wellness incentive program delivers measurable reductions in healthcare spending. This 2025 Outcomes and Savings Validation builds on Advanta’s 2023 certification and strengthens its position as a trusted partner for employers, payers, and public sector organizations seeking both engagement and cost control.

“Our mission is to deliver wellness with benefits. That means outcomes that matter,” said Courtenay Higgins, President of Advanta Health. “We’re proud that the Validation Institute has confirmed what our clients already know: ActiveFit+ keeps people engaged and healthier while helping organizations manage their bottom line. This new validation proves we’re not only engaging members, but we’re also delivering economic impact at scale.”

Key finding from the Validation Institute include:

  • Group-Level Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) Reduction: Across a multi-group analysis, organizations participating in Advanta’s wellness program consistently outperformed non-participating groups on MLR benchmarks. The study, conducted at the group level rather than the individual level, ensured accurate comparison and avoided common data pitfalls. This approach provided strong evidence that ActiveFit+ is driving meaningful savings beyond what engagement rates alone would predict.

Other findings:

  • Independently Validated Engagement: ActiveFit+ continues to deliver top-tier usage, with active members engaging with the platform more than 25 times per month on average.
  • Credible Methodology: The evaluation avoided common biases such as participation bias and regression to the mean, adding strength to the findings.
  • Backed by Guarantee: The validation includes a $100,000 credibility guarantee from Validation Institute.

Validation Institute CEO Al Lewis, who quite literally wrote the book on valid measurement, said: “Wellness programs rarely save money. The alleged outcomes are usually polluted by regression to the mean and participation bias. So before we put our $100,000 Credibility Guarantee on the line, we went over their numbers up, down and sideways to control for those biases. So kudos to Advanta for being among the very few wellness companies which can show real savings, measure validly.”

ActiveFit+ helps people earn rewards for a wide range of wellness actions, including walking goals, gym visits, virtual workouts, and preventive health milestones. The platform integrates with over 150 apps and devices and supports more than 3,200 employer groups with programs tailored to diverse populations and budgets.
